Quality Inspector | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Walker that are seeking skilled Quality Inspectors. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products against quality standards and specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
- Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances and deviations.
- Identify and report product defects, quality issues, and potential manufacturing flaws.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality control plans to ensure product compliance.
- Participate in root cause analysis for identified defects and support corrective action implementation.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sche schematics, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated skill in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Solid understanding of quality control principles and inspection methodologies.
- Ability to accurately document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and functional defects.
Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools
- Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, vision systems, laser scanners)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency with Quality Management System (QMS) software (e.g., SAP QM, MasterControl, ETQ Reliance)
