Position Summary:

A Building Substitute is responsible for carrying out the duties of the teacher in their absence.

Major Responsibilities

  • We are specifically seeking teachers with experience and the ability to adapt to diverse teaching environments while remaining an effective facilitator.
  • This position involves facilitating, educating students and maintaining control of the classroom.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to keep students focused and on task are a prerequisite for the position.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a lead teacher, excellent verbal and communication skills, patience, strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and has a passion for instilling knowledge in the students and schools we serve.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

Certification requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • PA Certification (preferred)

Experience Requirement

  • At least two (2) years of building substitute teaching experience (required) or relevant

Clearances and Other Requirements

Must have the following clearances:

  • Updated Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Clearance/ Fingerprints
  • Act 34
  • Act 168
  • 2-Step TB Test
  • Act 24

Other required documents include:

  • Diploma
  • Government-issued ID
