This contract position for the current school year involves playing a vital role in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive health services to students, including first aid and medication administration
- Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify student needs
- Manage chronic conditions and emergency situations with professionalism and care
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state regulations and policies
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives among students and staff
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
- Experience in school nursing, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Strong knowledge of school health regulations and protocols
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate approach to student care and confidentiality
