We are looking for a Building Engineer Specialist with a lot of experience and skill to join our facilities management team. The Building Engineer Specialist will be in charge of running, fixing, and keeping up with building systems like HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural parts. The best person for the job will make sure that the facility runs smoothly, safely, and in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily use and upkeep of the building's systems and equipment, such as HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety.
To keep the building running at its best, do regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
Find and fix complicated problems with building systems and emergencies.
Work with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to make specialised repairs and installations.
Keep an eye on and control energy use, suggest and put into action ways to make things more efficient.
Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance work.
Make sure that all local, state, and federal rules are followed, such as safety standards and building codes.
Respond quickly to requests for facility services and emergencies.
Offer technical help and training to junior staff when they need it.
Help with projects to improve buildings and make them better.
Qualifications:
An associate's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a similar technical field, or the same amount of experience.
More than two years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or building operations.
A lot of knowledge about building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, and automation.
Knowledge of how to use building management systems (BMS) and controls.
A valid EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (or the ability to get one within six months).
Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals for equipment.
Great at solving problems, talking to people, and keeping things in order.
Can work alone and with others.
Pay and Benefits:
