Job Summary
Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Fire Sprinkler Construction Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, preparing proposals, and supporting sales opportunities for fire sprinkler construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience in fire protection, construction sales, estimating, or a related field and understands how to build strong relationships with general contractors, property owners, facility managers, developers, and construction professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and develop new sales opportunities for fire sprinkler construction, installation, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, building owners, developers, facility managers, and property management companies.
- Review project plans, specifications, bid documents, and construction schedules to understand scope and requirements.
- Work closely with estimating, design, project management, and operations teams to prepare accurate bids, proposals, and pricing.
- Conduct site visits, attend pre-bid meetings, and evaluate project needs.
- Present proposals, negotiate pricing, and follow up with clients to close new business.
- Track leads, bids, opportunities, and customer communications using CRM or company sales systems.
- Stay informed on local construction activity, code requirements, industry trends, and competitor activity.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to project execution.
- Maintain a professional image and represent the company with integrity, reliability, and strong customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction sales, fire protection, fire sprinkler systems, or a related industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, bid cycles, and contractor relationships.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM software, and estimating or bid management tools preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for client meetings and site visits.
Preferred Skills
- Existing relationships with general contractors, developers, or facility managers.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards, fire sprinkler systems, and local fire code requirements.
- Experience selling new construction, retrofit, inspection, service, or maintenance contracts.
