Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Near You
Up to $35/hour
Weekly Pay!
2nd Shift
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and equipment optimization across a variety of production machinery. This role is fully mechanical, supporting high-volume manufacturing operations. Candidates must be able to work independently and are required to provide their own tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance on production machinery, conveyors, motors, pumps, industrial mixers, presses, and material-handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures using schematics, manuals, and mechanical diagnostic techniques.
- Repair or replace bearings, belts, chains, shafts, gears, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.
- Conduct equipment changeovers, alignments, and installations for production line adjustments.
- Ensure machinery in both heavy-industrial and light-industrial areas is safe, reliable, and operating at optimal performance.
- Document maintenance activities, parts used, and machine performance logs.
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and prioritize repairs based on operational needs.
- Follow all facility safety guidelines, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and proper handling of industrial components.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce breakdown frequency.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving industrial product manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, belts, chains, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, equipment diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical measuring instruments.
- Must provide your own mechanical tool set required for daily maintenance tasks.
- Experience working in both heavy-industrial and light-industrial settings preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; mechanical trade school or certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
