Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a high school located in West Chester, PA. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) to high school students with diverse learning needs. The position is contract-based for the upcoming school year and requires an individual dedicated to supporting student growth in an inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver effective ELA instruction tailored to students with special education needs
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines
Collaborate with general education staff and support personnel to enhance student learning
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians

Qualifications:

Current Connecticut Special Education Teaching Certification is required
Experience teaching special education at the high school level is preferred
Strong understanding of ELA curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learners
Ability to create engaging lesson plans that accommodate varying abilities and learning styles
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
