Job Description
My client, a rapidly growing manufacturer and distributor of consumer electronics and lifestyle products, supplying major national retailers including Amazon, Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx, and Ross Stores. They are seeking an experienced Director of Logistics to lead and elevate their global supply chain operations.
In this key leadership role, you will oversee the end-to-end movement of merchandise from their factories in Asia to their U.S. warehouses — and ultimately to their retail partners. You will manage a logistics team of 5–10 professionals and work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure their logistics systems remain efficient, scalable, and accurate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead international shipments from Asia, domestic transportation, and U.S. warehouse operations.
- Manage and optimize EDI workflows to ensure accurate orders, invoicing, and full retailer compliance.
- Oversee relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL partners to deliver on time and cost-effectively.
- Develop and implement SOPs, KPIs, and reporting tools to drive continuous operational improvement.
- Ensure precise inventory control and coordinate with accounting on shipment and invoicing accuracy.
- Mentor, develop, and hold accountable a logistics team of 5–10 staff members.
- Support the company’s ERP transition to NetSuite, integrating logistics processes into the new system.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of logistics or supply chain management experience.
- Strong understanding of EDI systems and retailer compliance requirements.
- Proven success managing international and domestic logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite expertise strongly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
