Job DescriptionWe are seeking full-time Transition Assistance Administrative Specialist / Data Automation Clerk (TAAS/DA) to provide onsite administrative and customer service support for a Military and Family Readiness Center located in Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. This position supports a high-volume federal permitting and reporting operation and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism. This is a 100% onsite position.
It is a full time position 40 hours a week.

Required Qualifications1. Minimum of high school diploma
2. Two years of office work experience in government or commercial setting with excellence customer service skills and attitude.
3. Knowledge of word processing functions to support office operations and produce a variety of textural documents such as letters, reports, memos and forms.

5. Knowledge and skill in the following areas: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, AFFIRST, and Air Force standards in Office Automation.
6. Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Primary Duties1. Performs initial interview and screening of customers to determine their admin and or Transition needs and goals and provides appropriate referral to other staff members as required.
2. Advises and determines eligibility regarding enrollment in TAP workshops. Schedule customers for appropriate workshops and refers to M&FRC staff when needed.
3. Reception: Assists with customer service. Based upon knowledge of the organization and its programs and operations, answers non-technical requests for information. Refers customers and telephone callers to appropriate staff members for technical information.
a. Promptly and courteously receives, greets and answers questions from customers and telephone calls.
b. Properly screens TAP customers and refers those contacts needing staff attention.
c. Maintains a positive professional image and working relationships with the public, clients, and M&FRC staff members.
d. Schedules appointments for visitors with counselors/staff.
e. Maintains publicity materials & required TAP forms.
4. Clerical: Provides direct clerical, administrative and other support to the Transition Assistance Program IAW -AFI 36 3009.
a. Enrolls eligible military and civilian personnel in M&FRC workshops via AFFIRST.
b. Inputs customers into AFFIRST and updates members data for accountability, ensuring confidentiality is protected.
c. The TAAS/DA will prepare, maintain and distribute official letters/emails and respond to all correspondence within 48 hours.
d. The TAAS/DA will prepare, maintain and update AFFIRST workshops.
e. Initiates and processes necessary paperwork associated with TAP or related services.
f. Assists in the reservation, opening and securing of classrooms, and conference rooms.
g. Provides administrative support in the preparation, delivery, and follow-up with staff POC.
h. Produces accurate, up-to-date reports, meeting agendas, weekly staff meeting minutes and inventories as required.
i. Accurately and properly submits documentation required for various administrative actions within AFFIRST.
j. Completes all provided training as required to access required systems and perform TAP administrative duties.
k. Performs general clerical duties to include mail collection/sorting/distribution, filing, photocopying, collating and securing/stapling documents, etc.
5. These services may be jointly determined by the Contractor and Government in advance, and modified by mutual agreement according to changing program needs.

Assists with all administrative duties, to include scheduling workshops, completing AFFIRST entries, sending workshop reminders, Vow report, creating calendars
