Director of Clinic Operations – Full Time


Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital, stand-alone, not-for-profit hospital located in Ste. Genevieve, MO, that focuses on personalized care. Our 25-inpatient bed facility is a Medicare 4-star rated and is ranked in the top 1% Nationally for Patient Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. What to expect as the Director of Clinic Operations:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all outpatient clinics and Rural Health Clinics (RHCs)
  • Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and strong performance
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to healthcare standards and policies
  • Drive improvements in patient experience, quality of care, and service delivery
  • Partner with Clinic Managers to support high-quality operations while addressing each clinic’s unique community needs
  • Standardize workflows, policies, and best practices across clinics to improve efficiency and staff support
  • Monitor and enhance clinic performance metrics and operational outcomes
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and clinical leaders to support provider productivity and overall clinic success
  • Does not oversee clinician contracts or recruitment, but works closely with leadership to align operational goals


Requirements:

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field required; equivalent relevant work experience considered
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive healthcare operations experience, including significant experience in ambulatory or clinic settings
  • Proven experience leading managers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of rural healthcare operations and Rural Health Clinic (RHC) environments
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Health Clinic (RHC) setting preferred
  • Knowledge of RHC regulations, reimbursement, and operational requirements preferred
  • Experience with Lean, process improvement, or quality improvement initiatives preferred
