Job DescriptionWe are seeking a hands-on Interim Controller / Senior Accountant to support a client in Grand Rapids, Minnesota during a key transition period. This role will take ownership of core accounting functions, oversee financial accuracy, and partner with global teams to ensure effective reporting and compliance.
This is a highly visible role ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented, operational environment and is comfortable working across a matrixed global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting
- Lead and support the month-end close and global reporting requirements
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations with zero tolerance for unsupported balances
- Perform variance analysis, identifying root causes and actionable insights
- Oversee cash activity, reconciliations, and cash forecasting
- Manage complex intercompany accounting across global entities
-Support sales & use tax processes, including filings and compliance
- Monitor and account for warranty reserves
-Support internal and external audits w
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risk
- Oversee AR, AP, and cash application processes
-Drive improvements in cash flow, inventory accuracy, and balance sheet integrity
- Identify and implement process improvements across accounting and finance
