ESS Clinical is seeking a dedicated and passionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to support students within Harmony Public Schools.

\nPay starting at $60/hr W2
\n\n
Essential Responsibilities
\n\n
- \n\t
- Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.\n\t
- Conduct assessments and assist in determining educational needs and appropriate accommodations.\n\t
- Develop and implement IEP goals and specialized instructional plans.\n\t
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech-language pathologists, educational audiologists, interpreters, and classroom teachers.\n\t
- Support student access to curriculum through accommodations, assistive technology, and communication strategies.\n\t
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.\n\t
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding educational programming.\n\t
- Educate and support school staff regarding best practices for serving students who are deaf or hard of hearing.\n\t
- Foster self-advocacy, communication skills, and independence among students.\n
\n\nRequired Texas Licensure & Certification Requirements\n\n
Candidates must possess:
\n\n
- \n\t
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).\n\t
- Teacher of Students Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certification (Deaf Education Certification) recognized by the Texas Education Agency.\n\t
- Certification must be in good standing and maintained throughout employment.\n\t
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education compliance requirements.\n\t
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.\n\t
- Degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, Education, or a related field preferred.\n
