Job Description:

  • We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Assistant to support our warehouse operations.
  • This position involves a combination of manual and clerical duties related to the shipping, receiving, and inventory control of materials and products.
  • The successful candidate will work primarily out of a centralized warehouse and be responsible for utilizing computer systems to track, log, verify, and report inventory and shipment data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials to ensure accuracy in quantity, weight, and conformance to stated specifications.
  • Prepare materials and products for shipment by packing, wrapping, labeling, and documenting according to standard procedures and transportation regulations.
  • Accurately log incoming and outgoing materials using computer systems such as Client’s P2P.
  • Process freight bills, packing slips, bills of lading, and related documentation.
  • Ensure proper routing and timely distribution of merchandise and materials to designated destinations.
  • Assist with inventory storage, material movement, and general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or inventory control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to lift and move items or cartons up to 50 pounds regularly; team lifting may be required for heavier loads.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and switch tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using warehouse management systems (e.g., Client’s P2P or similar).
  • Forklift or Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification or willingness to complete training and certification.
