Job Title: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TOD/DHH)
Location: Barnegat, NJ
Duration: 12 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 06:45 AM – 03:15 PM
Pay Rate: $40 – $45/hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated TOD/DHH to support students with hearing loss through individualized instruction, communication development, and collaboration to ensure academic success and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse needs
• Support language development (ASL, spoken, total communication)
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs; track student progress
• Manage hearing devices (hearing aids, FM systems, cochlear implants)
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, families, and audiologists
• Conduct assessments to guide instruction and eligibility

Qualifications

• Valid TOD/DHH certification/licensure
• Experience with hearing-impaired students preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEPs and special education practices
• Familiarity with assistive hearing technology
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
