Summary:

The shipping department is responsible for the movement of material inside the facility as well as the coordination of material outside, whether it is incoming from a supplier or outgoing to a customer. It works very closely with the manufacturing departments to ensure that parts are available when needed at every stage of production. It is an integral part of Cambridge’s fast paced, dynamic environment.

Job Functions:

  • Receiving – unloading trucks, verifying proper documentation, process, organize and distribute and stock as needed.
  • Coordinate pick-up and deliveries of product based upon customer demand
  • Create Bill of Ladings and other required shipping documentation
  • Supply Inventory and reconciliation
  • Material handling – moving parts throughout the facility using pallet jacks, fork trucks, etc.
  • Provide quarterly cycle counts of all packaging supplies.
  • Shipping Back Up – packing and organizing parts for shipments, loading trucks, completing required paperwork ensuring proper documentation, etc.

  • Ability to move materials using pallet jacks safely
  • Ability to use stretch wrap equipment
  • Performs jobs in a manner that minimizes hazards to self, others and the environment. Maintains a physical work environment that contributes to the well-being of others. Being aware of conditions or circumstances that affect one’s own safety or the safety of others.
  • Use of forklift everyday, forklift training Preferred

Required Experience:

  • High School/GED or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in a fast paced manufacturing or similar environment..

Physical Demands:

  • The ability to spend 8 hours on one’s feet bending, lifting, and moving frequently

  • Regularly remain in a stationary position at work station.

  • Frequently lifts, moves and carries parts weighing up to 35lbs.

  • Must be able to Ascend/Descend stairs.

  • Must be able to Sit, Walk, Climb, Stoop, Kneel.

  • Must be able to work in a receiving area environment that may experience extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) due to weather conditions and the nature of deliveries
