Job Description

Position Summary:

The General Construction Laborer assists with all phases of construction projects by performing various physical tasks on job sites. This position supports skilled tradespeople, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and ensures that materials, tools, and equipment are used efficiently to meet project schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist carpenters, masons, equipment operators, and other skilled trades as directed.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment on job sites.
Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding or temporary structures.
Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Measure, cut, and assemble building materials under supervision.
Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, vehicles, and storage areas.
Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman or superintendent.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous construction or labor experience preferred but not required.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Knowledge of basic construction tools and materials.
Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Commitment to following all safety guidelines and company policies.

Working Conditions:

Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Exposure to loud noises, dust, and heavy equipment.
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
