Job Description
The Warehouse Associate coordinates day-to-day shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities while supporting multiple teams across the facility. This role manages dock operations, maintains accurate inventory records, and ensures efficient movement of goods using ERP and warehouse management systems. The position requires strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all shipping and receiving functions at the facility, including outbound and inbound activities.
- Manage dock organization to ensure safe, efficient, and orderly movement of goods and materials.
- Maintain and organize shipping supplies to support daily warehouse operations.
- Handle issues that arise in shipping or inventory handling and escalate when necessary.
- Retain, scan, and file documentation related to shipments, inventory, and warehouse activities.
- Send clear and timely communications to employees regarding shipments, inventory updates, and related warehouse information.
- Schedule pick-ups with vendors and carriers and monitor shipments while they are in transit.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry using Excel and other systems to maintain inventory and shipment records.
- Support cycle counting activities to ensure inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Assist various teams with additional workload and cross-functional tasks across departments such as Inventory and other warehouse functions.
- Utilize ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS) to manage inventory, track orders, and update records.
- Work with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and productivity.
Essential Skills
- 3–5 years of logistics and/or warehouse experience.
- Proven experience in high-volume inventory management and inventory control.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and warehouse management systems (ERP/WMS).
- Strong background in cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Proficient data entry skills with a high level of accuracy, including Excel data entry.
- Effective communication skills, including clear writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to cross-function across various departments, including Inventory and other warehouse-related teams.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and dock organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working within an ERP environment to manage inventory and warehouse processes.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations that support specialized or high-growth industries.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling documentation and shipments.
- Ability to collaborate with a small, dynamic team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfort using Excel and other digital tools to track and report on warehouse activities.

Work Environment
This role operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration and flexibility. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will work closely with a small team consisting of one manager and four team members, fostering a supportive and team-oriented atmosphere. The environment encourages cross-functional support, open communication, and a flexible, team-player mindset while working with ERP and warehouse management systems to manage inventory and shipments.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
