Position Summary
Reserve Health is a physician-led, multi-specialty practice providing high-impact care across Primary Care, Occupational Health, and Correctional Medicine. We are seeking aPsychiatrist to serve as the clinical cornerstone of our Mental Health Service Line.
In this role, you will provide expert psychiatric care for the first respondersand our correctional partners. We are looking for a clinician who wants to elevate our practice by providing the advanced diagnostic and pharmacological expertise that our growing patient complexity requires.
Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Serve as the primary psychiatric provider for First Responders and justice-involved individuals, focusing on PTSD, acute stress, and mood disorders.
- Management of the high-acuity patient panelthose whose needs exceed the scope of our APPs. You will be the clinical backstop for treatment-resistant cases.
- Conduct in-depth psychiatric evaluations and medication management with a schedule that prioritizes patient outcomes over raw volume.
Clinical Mentorship & Collaboration
- Work alongside our 2 Psychiatric APPs and 3 LCSWs to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
- Provide regular clinical guidance and second opinions to the mental health team to ensure the highest standard of medical safety and efficacy.
- Collaborate with the clinic care team to provide care for patients with co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions.
Program Support (MAT)
- Provide the medical expertise necessary to support and refine our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols for substance use disorders.
The Practice Environment
- Professional office-based care for First Responders, clinical care within a county jail, and traditional outpatient psychiatry.
- Primarily in-person.
- Phone-only consultation (approx. 7 days/month) with very low call volume. No facility travel required during call periods.
- A grounded, supportive environment where the focus is on the mission of serving those who serve the community.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- A desire to work with First Responders and underserved populations.
- Strong collaborative spirit and a willingness to mentor mid-level providers.
