Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students in a school environment near Amherst, MA. This full-time position is tailored for a skilled bilingual (Spanish-English) paraprofessional prepared to serve as a dedicated 1:1 support for a student at the elementary level. You’ll play an essential role in both academic and personal care support within a structured and welcoming community.

Key Qualifications and Desired Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Additionally, candidates must meet one of the following:
    • Hold an associate’s degree
    • Have a minimum of 48 college credits
    • Pass the ParaPro or WorkKeys assessment
  • At least one year of school-based paraprofessional experience
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Comfort and experience with personal care tasks, including bathroom assistance
  • Ability to demonstrate reliability, compassion, and professionalism

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized academic guidance to foster student engagement and learning
  • Assist with daily personal care, which includes dressing, undressing, diaper changing, and bathroom hygiene
  • Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment for assigned student
  • Collaborate effectively with educational staff, therapists, and families
  • Monitor and encourage the student’s participation and progress throughout the school day

This position runs through June 25, 2026, with a schedule of approximately 7:20 AM – 3:10 PM (35–37.5 hours per week), offering the chance to build meaningful relationships and have a direct impact on student growth.

Interviews will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams and typically last 15–30 minutes.
