Location
Brilliant Veterinary Care is a brand new, full-service, small animal practice in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Located only two blocks from Central Park, there is so much to see and do. From taking a stroll in Central Park, exploring cultural landmarks, or enjoying a meal at one of the local eclectic restaurants, you will want to make sure to have plenty of time to enjoy the magical journey the Upper West Side has to offer!
Practice Overview
We are a privately owned hospital with deep-rooted connections to our neighborhood. We strive to provide individualized, thoughtful care of the highest standard for our patients. Our state-of-the-art hospital includes 4 exam rooms, surgical and dental suites, digital radiology and ultrasound, cold laser therapy, and full in-house lab equipment. As a privately owned practice, we are allowed the freedom to customize care for the individual patient. Our staff works together as a team to create the best possible veterinary experience for both our patients and our clients.
What You’ll Be Working On
● Oversee general patient care and safe-keeping (animal husbandry)
● Safe animal restraint or handling, especially in debilitated and elderly patients
● Perform basic care for patients that does not require a veterinarian or technician such as grooming and nail trims
● Assist the doctor or technician with patient treatments, procedures, x-rays, and activities
● Assist in maintaining hospital cleanliness, prepping exam rooms, and supply inventory management
● Be a positive, engaged team member who is willing and able to offer support to others
Qualifications
● High School Diploma or equivalent required
● Minimum of 2-years of experience working in a veterinary clinic preferred
● Ability to be flexible with schedule which includes to work rotating weekend shifts
● Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
● Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
● Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
● Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
● Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
