Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A 12-hour night shift RN position is available in Lees Summit, MO, specializing in stepdown care. This contract role offers an engaging professional environment for nurses with at least one year of PCU RN experience who are ready to provide advanced patient care in a fast-paced setting.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid RN license required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year PCU RN experience essential
- Experience with high acuity drips, arterial lines, and BiPAP-Airvo preferred
- Ability to float to a lesser acuity unit when needed
- Must commit to working major holidays with managerial schedule accommodations
- No acceptance of new graduates for this role
Schedule and Work Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts from 1845 to 0715
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call duties
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a stepdown unit environment
- Monitor and manage patients requiring high acuity interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and safety protocols
- Participate in orientation during standard business hours (M-F, 8a-5p)
