Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Joliet, IL 60435
Caseload Type: Social, Emotional and Behavior Program
Grades: K-8th Grade
Shift:8:00-3:30 p.m. (35 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $40.00-50.00 p/hr
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district in Joliet, IL. This is a full-time, on-site position serving students with a range of learning needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse student populations and a strong commitment to inclusive education.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to students with IEPs in a resource or self-contained setting

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the needs of each student

Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers

Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and communication with families

Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school-based teams
-
Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Requirements:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement

Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field

Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Must be available to work on-site in Joliet, IL for the upcoming school year
Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: W2 hourly, paid weekly
