Payroll and HRIS Specialist
We are looking for a proactive, trustworthy, and ownership-oriented senior practitioner. The ideal candidate will be able to lead and take initiative, not just execute tasks. Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management:
- Execute bi-weekly payroll processing from time and attendance through paycheck finalization.
- Oversee all payroll reporting and ensure timely processing of third-party funding (e.g., Principal, Health-Equity).
- Manage PTO reconciliations, RSU Vesting, and annual bonus payroll.
- Address day-to-day payroll inquiries and issues.
- Process and submit garnishment paperwork and payments.
- Handle various one-time payments, non-qual distributions, HSA/FSA, wellness rewards, and gifts.
- Manage Workers' Compensation processes and payments.
- Prepare payroll accounting journal entries and reconciliations.
- Lead the year-end W-2 project, including processing, delivery, and reporting.
- Support annual Total Rewards preparation and delivery.
- Oversee unemployment requests.
- Ensure accuracy of all data within ADP.
- Perform bi-weekly 401(k)/ADP reconciliations.
- Review and maintain local and state payroll taxes.
- HRIS and Data Management:
- Administer and maintain ADP Workforce Now as the primary HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and manage dashboards in ADP and SharePoint for reporting, metrics, and internal communications.
- Build and maintain SharePoint pages and other tools for internal communication.
- Troubleshoot HRIS issues, configure systems to meet organizational needs, and analyze employee data for actionable insights.
- Collect and analyze employee data to generate reports, metrics, and dashboards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; or a combination of 6+ years of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Required expertise with ADP Workforce Now and other HRIS systems (Workday experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
