What does a Director of Retail Operations do?

As the Full Time Director of Retail Operations at Lunds & Byerlys, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our retail locations. Your primary responsibility will be to coach, mentor, and support retail management personnel, ensuring they meet sales, profit, and service objectives. You will monitor performance metrics and provide strategic counsel on various operational opportunities, including new initiatives, policies and procedures to merchandising strategies, promotions, pricing, gross margin performance, staffing, employee relations and other related areas, all to enhance operational performance and effectiveness.. By leading the establishment of a strategic vision, you will ensure alignment with consumer trends and competitive landscapes.

Effective communication with all levels of staff will foster a positive work environment, enhancing overall customer relations. In collaboration with store leadership, you'll ensure compliance with company policies, execute marketing plans, and manage capital projects to maintain competitive store conditions. Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education
    1. Bachelor's degree in management, general business, retail or equivalent experience
  2. Experience
    1. Five or more years of industry experience in a small to mid-size company managing stores
    2. Seven to ten years of related retail management experience including responsibility for sales and profitability in multiple locations
  3. LFHI Competencies expected of all employees include: action oriented, communicates effectively, customer focus and instills trust.
