Customer Service Representative
Location: East Hanover, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $17/hr
About the Opportunity:
PrideStaff is working with a well-established logistics company in the East Hanover area that has been a leader in third-party delivery services for nearly 40 years. This entry-level role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, managing details, and supporting operational workflows. The position focuses on scheduling last-mile deliveries and entering or updating incoming freight orders, including EDI orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate data entry in internal systems (training provided, including Alpha system and remotely accessed customer platforms)
- Enter, update, and schedule customer orders in a timely manner
- Manage incoming phone calls
- Communicate professionally with customers via phone and email
- Handle inquiries related to merchandise delivery (receiving dates, scheduling, issues, and concerns)
- Manage shared inbox communications with customers and internal accounts
- Escalate unresolved issues to the designated Customer Service Manager for follow-up
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong computer literacy and solid typing speed (must-have)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems
- Excellent communication skills, especially by phone
- Strong active listening skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable, with a pleasant and professional attitude
- Bilingual candidates preferred
