Position Overview:

We are looking for a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines in a production environment. The role involves producing accurate parts, meeting quality standards, and supporting a safe and efficient workflow. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with machining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines according to production requirements.
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic program edits as needed.
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
  • Maintain machines through routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and report problems to supervisors when needed.
  • Verify that materials, tools, and programs are correct before starting production.
  • Document production steps, inspections, and adjustments accurately.
  • Follow all safety rules, quality standards, and operating procedures.
  • Work closely with team members to improve processes and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist or Machine Operator.
  • Ability to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or other CNC equipment.
  • Understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Basic understanding of G-code and ability to make simple program edits.
  • Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and tooling as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
