Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team in Salinas, California. In this Contract role, you will support payroll operations by ensuring accurate employee compensation and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in data management and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for multiple states while adhering to all applicable federal and state guidelines.
• Handle garnishments and employment verifications with precision and professionalism.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and effective manner.
• Perform administrative data entry tasks to support payroll operations.
• Assist in conducting payroll audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Maintain employee payroll records while safeguarding sensitive information.
• Utilize payroll software systems, including ADP, Ceridian, and Workday, to streamline processes.
• Collaborate with the Payroll Manager and Human Resources team to address payroll-related issues.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing.• Minimum of three years of experience in payroll processing.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• Familiarity with payroll software systems such as ADP, Ceridian, and Workday.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Bilingual proficiency is an advantage but not required.
