Job Details:

• 36/48 hour contract options available
\n• 1:5 patient ratio across all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
\n• Minimum 1 year of experience required
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Weekend coverage may be required depending on census and staff availability
\n• No on-call requirements
\n• Float within scope to meet facility needs
\n• Block scheduling not available
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
\n• Preferred certifications: CPI, NIH, OCN
\n• Black scrubs required
\n• Cerner charting system experience required
\n• 24-hour orientation provided
\n• Overtime must be pre-approved by client (approval is rare)
\n• Must be available for compliance work during first 1-2 weeks after signing
\n• RQI certifications will not be accepted
\n• Non-billable modules averaging 6 hours must be completed
\n• Manage patients with diagnoses including DM, CHF, alcohol withdrawal, post-op infections, HTN, AMS, COVID, FLU/RSV, cellulitis, COPD exacerbation, and abdominal pain
\n• Perform specialized care including colostomy care, feeding tube management, pre/post hemodialysis management, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy management, and chest tube management
\n• Work with equipment including NG tubes, wound vacs, telemetry monitors, and Kangaroo pumps

This community-based hospital features 60 total staffed beds with a 24-bed medical surgical unit maintaining a daily census of approximately 22 patients. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The hospital provides free parking for staff and maintains modern equipment and technology to support quality patient care across adult and geriatric populations.
