Job DescriptionTravel Tig Welding Position (Per Diem)
Job Description
- Experience in TIG welding with materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, aluminum, and titanium
- Perform class A welds; cut, trim, fit, and fabricate metal components to dimensions for building and assembling.
- Collaborate with lead welder to ensure proper weld procedure, material type, and rod size assessment for each welding project.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations where procedural information is unavailable.
- Continuously improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
- Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, engineering staff, and planners to achieve build efficiency.
- Modify, repair, assemble, and install launch vehicles.
- Check work after completion to ensure it meets drawing specifications.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in an approved manner.
- Install and assemble custom and off-the-shelf tooling and machinery for building primary tank structures.
- Setup safety equipment and work platforms at elevation.
- Operate general shop equipment and vehicles (forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, etc.).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
