The Advanced Vein Center of Charlotte County is seeking a full-time medical assistant. We are a small practice with one vascular surgeon provider and therefore, we work as a team with overlapping job responsibilities. Job responsibilities involve assisting the provider with all aspects of patient care. The ideal candidate should be caring, friendly, energetic, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and work independently. Clinical responsibilities include rooming patients, recording medical information in EMR, assisting with sterile procedures, patient education, and handling patient phone calls. Administrative responsibilities include checking in/out patients, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, verifying insurance and obtaining insurance authorizations, preparing patient EMR charts, and communicating with referring physician offices. Excellent communication skills and computer/typing skills are required. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience and education.
