Advanced Quality Engineer | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $89,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Kentwood that are seeking Advanced Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Drives root cause analysis and corrective actions for complex quality issues.
- Develops and implements advanced quality control plans and inspection methodologies.
- Leads cross-functional teams in the application of statistical process control and other quality tools.
- Conducts supplier quality assessments and drives continuous improvement initiatives with critical suppliers.
- Designs and executes experiments for process optimization and new product introduction.
- Mentors junior quality engineers and promotes a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Analyzes quality data to identify trends, predict potential issues, and drive preventative measures.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and industry standards.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA).
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other relevant quality certifications.
Bonus Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
