Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts SPED teaching license appropriate for the assigned grade level
- Demonstrated effectiveness as a special education teacher in elementary or intermediate grades
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs aligned with student needs and district guidelines
- Experience supporting students with a variety of learning needs, including academic, behavioral, and social challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction in academic skills for students in grades 4-6, adjusting strategies to maximize individual student growth
- Develop and adapt lesson plans, materials, and assessments to support individual education programs (IEPs) and general curriculum standards
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Monitor and track student progress, participating in IEP meetings, progress reports, and parent communications
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that recognizes and celebrates student strengths and diversity
- Support positive behavior interventions and reinforce social-emotional learning as part of daily practice
