Job DescriptionFood & Beverage SupervisorPosition Summary

The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, in-room dining, and banquet functions to ensure exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and compliance with company standards. This role supports the Food & Beverage leadership team by supervising staff, maintaining service quality, and ensuring a positive dining experience for every guest.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operation of the restaurant, bar, and banquet events as assigned.

  • Lead pre-shift meetings, communicate daily priorities, and assign staff responsibilities.

  • Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.

  • Monitor service standards and address guest concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Coach, mentor, and motivate team members while fostering a positive work environment.

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of Food & Beverage staff.

  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations, food safety standards, and responsible alcohol service requirements.

  • Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all front-of-house areas.

  • Assist with scheduling based on business levels and labor targets.

  • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and oversee opening and closing duties.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.

  • Support banquet and special event execution as needed.

  • Promote teamwork and effective communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and operating procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of restaurant or hotel Food & Beverage experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures.

  • Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required or obtainable upon hire.

  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

  • Bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the restaurant and event spaces.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures.
