Role Description
This is an on-site, contract role for a Relief Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. The Relief DVM will provide high-quality medical care, including diagnostics, treatment, and surgery, to animals in need. Responsibilities include client consultations, developing treatment plans, and ensuring best practices in veterinary care. The role involves collaboration with veterinary staff and practice teams in various settings, including clinics, hospitals, and shelters.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in diagnostics, medical treatment, and surgical procedures for a variety of animal species
- Strong communication skills for client consultation and teamwork
- Ability to adapt to various clinic or hospital environments and work with diverse teams
- Compassion, problem-solving skills, and dedication to animal welfare
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree, with a valid veterinary license
- Experience in shelter medicine, exotic animal care, or emergency veterinary services is a plus
