This travel pharmacist role offers an opportunity to support hospital pharmacy operations in Fort Wainwright, AK. The position is contract-based with start dates available as soon as possible or by early to mid-June. Flexible shift start times and variable days, including weekends, allow for dynamic scheduling within an 8-hour workday framework.
Location:
- Fort Wainwright, AK
Schedule/Hours:
- 8-hour shifts with start times at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00 AM
- Variable days of the week, including weekends
- Holiday shifts as needed, typically 4-5 hours
- 11:00 AM shifts usually not followed by 7:00 AM shifts
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process standard hospital pharmacy orders
- Perform product verification in accordance with hospital protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe medication use
- Work adaptable shifts including holidays when required
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacist experience
- Proficient with standard hospital pharmacy order processing and product verification
- Experience with Cerner preferred
- Must hold an active AK pharmacist license or be willing to obtain a temporary license and apply for full licensure within 24 hours of acceptance
