Title: Environmental Construction Estimator
Status: Full-Time
Location: Charles Town, WV (Hybrid/Remote within 1-hour radius)
Relocation: Open to relocation for the right candidate

Are you an experienced estimator with a solid foundation in both fieldwork and environmental construction? We're seeking a sharp and motivated Environmental Construction Estimator to join a growing firm specializing in remediation and site development projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare precise cost estimates by reviewing project specifications, engineering plans, and subcontractor input.
• Conduct on-site visits to gather data and ensure accurate bidding.
• Use software tools to generate competitive proposals.
• Work closely with the Construction Manager to align costs with schedules and project deliverables.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Assist with proposal development, including scope and pricing details.
• Monitor and manage budgets to optimize project profitability.

Required Skills:

• Experience in both fieldwork and estimation for environmental or remediation projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD (required); familiarity with RSMeans, Bluebeam, and Heavy Bid preferred or similar tools accepted.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs accurately.
• Understanding of federal contracting and bidding processes.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years in estimating for environmental construction projects (federal project experience a plus).
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• OSHA 30 required; 40-hour HAZWOPER and USACE Construction Quality Management preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a federal background check.

Travel:
Expect occasional travel (10%-25%) to project sites for pre-bid assessments.
