Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of mammography experience, ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification, and proficiency with Epic EMR.
Details
- Performs radiographic mammography procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for the detection of breast tissue abnormalities
- Advanced mammography procedures include stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages
- Charts using Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience required
- ARRT registration with Advanced Mammography Certification (must be maintained throughout assignment)
- Current Rad Tech state license required (license required if applicable)
- Current AHA BLS certification required (must not expire prior to start)
- Must meet and maintain ACR FDA/MQSA mammography-specific requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift, push/pull, stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to each exam
- Operates mammographic equipment independently, applying appropriate techniques and radiation protection practices in compliance with ALARA program requirements
- Maintains documentation in accordance with JCAHO standards, including time stamps and image storage
- Educates patients on breast self-examination by answering questions and providing written materials
- A personal radiation monitoring dosimeter is required for this assignment; candidates are encouraged to use an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment to maintain a continuous exposure record
- Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
