Job DescriptionRN Clinical Supervisor - Full-Time Night Shift Overview:

The RN Clinical Supervisor is responsible for delivering direct patient care while supervising the nursing staff during night shifts in a healthcare facility. This position entails coordinating patient care, safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with both professional and organizational standards. Candidates must possess a registered nursing license, relevant clinical experience, and basic life support certification. Preference will be given to those with management experience and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

This role employs the nursing process to ensure effective patient care. The RN Clinical Supervisor maintains accountability for the care provided to assigned patients and assesses the overall quality of care delivered by other nursing staff. Collaboration with various departments is essential for coordinating patient care. The supervisor is also responsible for upholding patient rights and maintaining the confidentiality of patient information. All duties should align with our mission, values, and service standards.

Position Details:

Role: Medical Surgical Supervisor

Location: Healthcare Facility - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Qualifications

Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program with one of the following:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Nursing Diploma
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure is required, in accordance with state nursing board regulations.

Experience: 3-5 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.

Certifications:

  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: A BSN is preferred.
  • Licensure: Additional state licenses or specialty certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience: Previous management experience, particularly in change management, is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking during shifts.
  • Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary for nursing tasks.
