Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review/audit and approve all construction draws
- Manage capital expense accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Assist Construction Cost Analysts' research & resolve issues as needed
- Prepare construction department reporting required by corporate
- Perform cash management functions, prepare and post journal entries, and research & resolve issues as needed
- Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) processes
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations in accordance with deadline/requirements while adhering to policies and procedures and maintaining adequate internal controls
- Maintain records of all financial data required for audit and tax purposes
- Prepare audit and/or client related requests and other duties as received
- Participate in special projects as they arise
- General office and bookkeeping
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree. Preference in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in accounting, with a focus on capital expenses
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel
- Multifamily property accounting experience preferred
- Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of financial concepts
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite • Internet navigation skills are required
- Proficient in Resman software or other similar property management software preferred
