You will be professionally accountable for the care provided to your assigned patients and will coordinate with the surgical team while collaborating with various departments. Position Overview:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of a nursing program (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining a valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license, ensuring compliance with all state nursing board regulations.
  • Experience: A minimum of six months of experience in the operating room. Must demonstrate proficiency in Level I requirements as outlined in our policies.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of employment. Additional certifications may be required based on the specific position or unit, including but not limited to:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
    • CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
    • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
    • S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
    • C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
    • Other unit-specific certifications as necessary

Physical Demands:

  • The role requires the ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and walking are necessary throughout each shift.
  • Tasks will involve gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
