Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Radiological Technologist position is available on a contract basis in Niles, OH. This role requires expertise in diagnostic imaging, with a focus on safe and effective use of ionizing radiation under authorized supervision. Candidates with surgery and NICU experience, as well as proficiency with GE imaging equipment, will be highly valued.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and document patient clinical histories and lab work accurately for licensed practitioner use.
  • Position and immobilize patients to clearly capture the anatomy of interest while ensuring patient comfort.
  • Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Operate radiographic equipment and associated accessories to perform diagnostic procedures successfully.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures.
  • Administer medications/contrast as prescribed and perform required timeout procedures.
  • Evaluate image quality and document patient dose exposures.
  • Provide professional communication with healthcare teams, patients, and families.
  • Support surgical and NICU imaging needs as necessary.
  • Work weekends and weekdays with afternoon shifts of 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM; every other weekend coverage and occasional holidays may be required.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • ARRT certification and registration (required).
  • Associate degree from an ARRT accredited program preferred.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Minimum one year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.
  • Surgery proficiency and experience using GE imaging equipment.
  • Familiarity with Radiology Information Systems (RIS), PACS, and EPIC EHR is a plus.
  • Ability to manage high-volume, high-stress environments with attention to detail and critical thinking.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Additional Details:

  • Work involves variable physical demands including lifting, standing, walking, and manipulating patient positions.
  • Exposure to potentially infectious materials, radiation, and mechanical equipment.
  • Must be able to perform shift work including occasional call before or after shifts for volume management.
