We are a non-union elevator company specializing in maintenance, modernization, and repair. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, quality workmanship, and a strong commitment to safety. We are seeking an experienced Elevator Maintenance Mechanic to join our operations department.
Only applicants with the required elevator industry experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough examinations of elevator equipment, parts, and system functions
  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust elevator components
  • Respond to service calls and identify causes of malfunctions
  • Inspect wiring and components for wear or damage
  • Replace worn or defective parts to prevent equipment failures
  • Test electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient operation
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid unsafe conditions
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in elevator maintenance (required)
  • Strong knowledge of elevator parts, functions, and system operations
  • Experience with both traction and hydraulic elevator systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing various elevator control systems
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and NYC elevator code
  • Reliable, professional, and takes pride in workmanship
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Able to lift up to 100 lbs and push up to 500 lbs (weight test car)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Willing and able to travel throughout all 5 boroughs, Long Island, and Westchester
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Plus: QEI or NYC DOB Inspector License
  • Plus: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Availability to work after normal business hours when required
  • Work with manufacturers/technical support to resolve advanced electrical problems
  • Respond to periodic after-hours emergency callbacks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
