Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available in a school environment serving a diverse caseload of elementary and middle school students. This role involves providing speech therapy services to a mix of pediatric learners, supporting their communication development within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students in elementary and middle school
  • Manage a caseload typically around 50 students, never exceeding 55
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and district guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches to student support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with pediatric populations; school-based speech therapy experience is a plus but not required
  • Relevant certifications and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to the needs of students across multiple grade levels

Location: Naval Anacost Annex, Washington, DC school-based setting with travel among schools as needed

This contract position offers competitive hourly compensation based on experience, education, and certifications. Details regarding caseload and specific school locations will be discussed during the interview process.
