Location: Onsite – Mesa, AZ
Job Type: On call | Consultant (12-Month Contract)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift (Start time variable as needed)
Starting Pay : 68.58 /hour (commensurate with experience)
Travel: Domestic travel required

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Production Pilot to support Maintenance Test Flight operations in Mesa, AZ. In this critical role, you’ll ensure the airworthiness of AH-64E Apache helicopters following production, maintenance, or modification. Your expertise will directly impact flight safety, operational readiness, and mission success.
What You’ll Be Doing

Perform Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC) and Maintenance Test Flights (MTF)
-
Conduct in-flight troubleshooting and verifications
-
Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for AH-64E aircraft
-
Lead pre- and post-flight briefings with flight crews and maintenance teams
-
Utilize technical manuals including the AH-64E IETM, Operators Manual, MTF Manual, and Checklist Manual
-
Ensure compliance with airworthiness standards and flight safety protocols
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
-
Completion of U.S. Army AH-64E Aircraft Qualification Course (AQC) or equivalent
-
Completion of AH-64 Aviation Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase I & II or DES-approved equivalent
-
Minimum 1,000 flight hours as AH-64D/E Pilot-in-Command
-
Minimum 100 flight hours as AH-64D/E Maintenance Test Pilot
-
Current Army or FAA Class II Flight Physical (valid for at least 6 months upon hire)
-
Ability to travel domestically on short notice
-
This position requires aa active security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Prior experience as an AH-64D/E Maintenance Examiner (ME)
-
Experience operating AH-64E in desert environments
-
Background as an AH-64 Technical Inspector
-
10+ years of aviation maintenance experience
-
3+ years in Production Control or aviation maintenance supervision
-
Familiarity with ULLS-A(E)/ACN or similar maintenance systems
-
Ability to meet currency requirements per AH-64D/E Aircrew Training Manual within 30 days of hire

Pay Details: 68.58 to 110.44 per hour
