Weekly Pay || $18 an hour || Jeffersonville, IN

Job Description

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for loading raw materials, specifically fabric, into press machines, unloading finished products, recycling excess material, performing quick visual quality checks, and assembling small components into fabric. You will also work diligently to ensure that daily production standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities

  • Load raw material (fabric) into press machines, ensuring accurate placement.
  • Unload finished products from the machines.
  • Remove and recycle excess material efficiently.
  • Conduct quick visual quality checks to ensure product standards.
  • Assemble small components into fabric with precision.
  • Work to ensure that daily production standards are consistently achieved.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to operate production machinery effectively.
  • Proficiency in loading and unloading materials.
  • Skill in performing quality checks.
  • Experience with forklift operations.
  • Familiarity with Windows and data center operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is suggested but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures.
  • Capacity to understand and follow verbal instructions.

Work Environment

The work environment is a modern, fully automated manufacturing facility, minimizing heavy lifting. It is fast-paced and clean, although it can become warm and humid in the summer. Safety policies are rigorously implemented to ensure a secure working space. The noise level ranges from moderate to high, and employees may be occasionally exposed to airborne particles. Regular communication is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of JEFFERSONVILLE, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $19.00/hr.
