Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This part-time role requires a commitment of two days per week and offers the opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, providing insights into performance.
• Manage general ledger maintenance, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Create and post journal entries, maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze budget variances and provide actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize financial operations.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to improve financial reporting processes.• Proven experience in month-end close procedures.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries.
• Ability to prepare and interpret monthly financial statements.
• Expertise in analyzing budget variances and identifying trends.
• Solid understanding of cash management principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
