Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel position, requiring a NJ or compact RN license and expertise with high-risk pregnancies in large hospital settings.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in the Labor & Delivery department of a hospital
- Provides care for laboring mothers, including high-risk pregnancies
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Use of Epic charting system
- May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
- Responsible for comprehensive assessments, clinical care, and documentation for Labor & Delivery patients
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments and patient education
- Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and safe patient transfer techniques
- May be required to take a 30-60 day break after one year assignment before returning
- Scrub attire details not specified; follow facility guidelines
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be necessary
- Must be able to provide direction and accountability within the perioperative team

- Active NJ or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent travel experience in large hospital Labor & Delivery settings with high-risk pregnancy care
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
