Construction Estimator
Location: Nashville, TN
Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 base (More for the right candidate) + Commission / Performance Bonus + Benefits + Perks
Overview:
We are recruiting on behalf of a premier residential construction firm for a sharp, driven Estimator / Purchasing Coordinator. This hybrid role blends cost estimating with procurement. You'll influence project profitability, negotiate with vendors, and contribute to the success of custom home builds.
Responsibilities:

Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and scope of work to prepare detailed cost estimates (materials, labor, subs).

Generate proposals, bid packages, and estimates for new projects, change orders, and upgrades.

Maintain and build relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and trade partners; solicit competitive quotes.

Manage procurement: issue purchase orders, track deliveries, resolve vendor issues, and ensure material timing aligns with project schedules.

Monitor variance between estimates vs. actuals; recommend adjustments or corrective actions.

Support operations and project teams in budget reviews, cost tracking, and forecasting.

Assist in maintaining an up-to-date cost database, supplier catalogs, and trending metrics.
Qualifications:

3+ years in residential construction estimating and/or procurement (luxury/custom home experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of construction materials, costs, labor rates, and trade markets in the region.

Proficient with estimating software and construction management tools (experience with BuilderTrend or JobTread is a plus).

Excellent negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.

Ability to operate in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
