Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing specialized support across multiple school settings, these roles focus on delivering high-quality special education services to K-12 students with diverse learning needs within the Denver metropolitan area. Candidates will be instrumental in fostering inclusive environments and implementing individualized educational plans tailored to each student's unique abilities.
Opportunities Available:
- Affective Needs Teacher at an elementary school, from January 5, 2026, through the school years end.
- Learning Specialist at a P-8 school, beginning immediately, continuing through the school year.
- Significant Support Needs (SSN) teacher specializing in cognitive challenges at a middle school, starting immediately through the school year.
- Learning Specialist at a middle school, beginning ASAP for at least three months, with potential extension through the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) grounded in students assessments and goals.
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and support staff to promote academic and social development.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to address affective, cognitive, and learning support needs.
- Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and compliance with district and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Colorado Department of Education certification in Special Education.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching special education to K-12 students across varied developmental and learning needs.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills within multidisciplinary educational teams.
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads and adapt to multiple school environments.
Location & Schedule:
- On-site positions located within Aurora and the greater Denver area.
- Full-time commitment (35+ hours per week).
- Contract positions lasting through the 2025-2026 school year, with specific start/end dates depending on assignment.
