Key Qualifications:

  • Previous work as a paraprofessional in a school setting, specifically supporting behavioral needs
  • Completion of Behavior Intervention Training or comparable hands-on experience managing challenging behaviors
  • Demonstrated ability to work actively and keep up with energetic young learners
  • Strong patience, empathy, and commitment to fostering positive student outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills with both students and classroom teachers

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to two assigned students during classroom activities, transitions, and throughout the school day
  • Implement individualized behavioral intervention strategies as directed by teaching staff and specialists
  • Assist with academic tasks, helping each student engage and participate fully in their learning environment
  • Reinforce positive behavior and provide consistent, encouraging feedback
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to adapt strategies and ensure student success
  • Proactively maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for each student
