Key Qualifications:
- Previous work as a paraprofessional in a school setting, specifically supporting behavioral needs
- Completion of Behavior Intervention Training or comparable hands-on experience managing challenging behaviors
- Demonstrated ability to work actively and keep up with energetic young learners
- Strong patience, empathy, and commitment to fostering positive student outcomes
- Excellent communication skills with both students and classroom teachers
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to two assigned students during classroom activities, transitions, and throughout the school day
- Implement individualized behavioral intervention strategies as directed by teaching staff and specialists
- Assist with academic tasks, helping each student engage and participate fully in their learning environment
- Reinforce positive behavior and provide consistent, encouraging feedback
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to adapt strategies and ensure student success
- Proactively maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for each student
